Slowly but surely, more and more countries are reopening their boundaries to foreign tourists, even more widely open provided you are vaccinated against the coronavirus disease. The sanitary crisis, still a scourge in too many places like the West Indies or South-East Asia, is nevertheless starting to slow down in regions where the vaccination is meeting success.
In Europe, most countries of the European Union welcome vaccinated fellows with no restrictions if you come from certain places. In Africa as well and in Tunisia for example, the vaccine is slowly making contaminations decrease, even though this is just a beginning, with too many doses lacking and only 3% of the total African population fully vaccinated.
It may be still too early to speak about travelling, but let us be positive and think about summertime 2022: in Madagascar, going sightseeing is really worth it for the magnificent beaches, the various animal species and the wonderful landscapes of course, but also for the original baobab path located next to Morondava. If you decide to visit the path around dawn or twilight, you will live a unique moment in a singular country. Perhaps you will not even take the time to take pictures because you will be so impressed by the nature that surrounds you!
The baobab path is quite close to an earth road between Morondava and Belon’i Tsiribihina. The guides and locals will advise you to drive the road with a 4×4 for less discomfort. You can also walk along the way if you are not in a hurry. Rows of baobab will stand on your left and right: the Adansonia grandidieri, one of the seven species of baobabs that you can find in Madagascar. These majestic trees are more than a hundred years old and are thirty meters tall. A romantic walk in a country that is still in harmony with nature.
