Take a look at Jomad’s artistic creations next weekend in Paris for the sake of the 11th edition of AKAA

If you live in Paris or if you are just visiting the French capital city in this month of October, you should take advantage of this amount of time to spend some moments at the Paris Art Week. The contemporary artist Jomad will introduce her work of art during the 11th edition of AKAA (Also Known As Africa) from Friday 23 to Sunday 25.

Jomad is an artist living in Paris who was born in 1987 in Fort-de-France, Martinique. She practices several kinds of art, including painting, ceramics and public art. As every artist, she has subjects of predilection such as the Caribbean identity, memory, emotions and colors, as you will notice when discovering her work.

After a beginning of career in aerospace engineering, architecture and civil engineering, the artist made up her mind and decided to dedicate herself fully to art in 2019. She uses a very colored painting to paint on walls and huge canvas, exploiting her recollections and the heritage of the West Indies in her different works.

Besides, Jomad collaborates with American artist Andrew: this collaboration gave birth to duo Jomad & Andrew. For the sake of the 5th edition of Atip’Art in Guyana in 2024, Jomad was invited to introduce her art and achieve a fresco.

This time, things happen in Paris. The exhibition of the artist will take place at the Carreau du Temple, Paris, in the upcoming weekend. Jomad’s exhibition particularly focuses on memories like school years in the West Indies. If you want to take a look at her art, you know what you have to do: the event will begin next Friday at noon at 4, rue Eugène Spuller, 75003 Paris. You have until next Sunday 6 pm !
