A summer workbook for your children during the holidays?

While on holidays, 2 categories of parents usually coexist: first, the parents who consider that holidays only rhyme with fun, leisure, and everything but work. Second, the parents who will compel their children to do a little bit of work from time to time in order to get prepared for the next start of the school year. What category are you part of?

The summer workbook can look like a real hardship for your children. If they know that you aim at making them work while on holidays, you should keep the workbook in your own suitcase. They could possibly forget it, with no intention of doing so for sure, if you tell them to put it in their stuff before leaving. We were all children once, and we can easily understand how constraining it can be to have to do some homework instead of enjoying the beach, the friends and the pool.

And yet, having a small part of the day dedicated to work can turn out to be helpful and interesting for both parties. As a parent, you can organize a working session in the morning and fix the concentration of your child for a couple of hours. The work completed at this time will enable you to ensure that he/she gets prepared well for the upcoming back to school. Your child will be even happier to enjoy the holidays after a good morning session of geography and mathematics.

On the other side, just enjoying the holidays without any piece of work can be a real way to cut after an intense school year. You can also decide to dedicate a few days before the nex start to a kind of refresh, and leave 95% of the summertime period to a genuine cut. Society games and books can be another hidden way to make your children work without them noticing it!
